Air Cdre Everard Wilkinson - Alexander D

Word has it that relatively new arrival Group Captain Wilkinson was recruited to U.N.I.T.E.D. from the General Staff of the ERU's Special Forces Directorate, although his rank belies an attachment to the Air Force at some point. He appears to spend most of his time in U.N.I.T.E.D.'s operations centre, helping to plan, arrange and execute military or quasi-military operations wherever the organisation needs them to happen.

Eternity

After his investigation into the robot suit attacks (See Midgard etenity) Director Wilkinson remained to lead UNITED, making a number of selections as to new candidates for various roles. Damocles became commander of the Exploratory division, while new candidates for the Head of Research went through a lengthy process and background check. Wilkinson maintained his military roots and remained overall commander.

After a great deal of negotiations and talks Wilkinson was successful in having UNITED become responsible for the world's military as well. Its original purpose and scientific and research divisions would remain, however it began to lead a far greater force. New bases cropped up across the earth as UNITED spread, and indeed across other worlds as well.

Under Wilkinson's watchful eye the organisation expanded, and continued to intervene when it was needed, always with the aim of protecting the worlds and fostering co-operation. As the years went by it became clear that the Director was looking for a successor, searching high and low for someone suitable. For Wilkinson would not be Director forever, and he had earned his rest. He retired to Budapest to write his memoirs, and few knew that the old man playing the piano down the road was once in charge of the greatest organisation of humanity. He died in peace with the wish that he left the worlds a better place, and his name would always be remembered as one who stood for humanity during the tumultuous events of Ragnarok.

I'll tell you, people say a lot about Director Wilkinson, lot of good, lot of bad. That's just cause he was strict. See, I been alongside him for a while, and lets just say he doesn't suffer fools. Course' you don't see much of it now, don't see much reason for the respect in these times, but back in the days, the days of Ragnarok he was there, and I was with him. And yeah, he had a mean streak, cause you couldn't always play nice back then. They were dark times and we were the ones who had to stand, against it all. And you don't have to like him, but you had bloody well better respect him. Cause' he was the best commander we've ever had, and will ever have. So if I hear any more muttering about the man's legacy, we're going to have issues. Understood?
