Jaeger - Ozan S

A famed warrior within Asgard, Jaeger is Thor's right-hand man, whether in the thick of battle or in a mead hall. Though his martial deeds are many, his most renowned achievement is once besting the thunder god in an arm wrestling bout.

Eternity

After his acclamation at the Thing, King Jaeger took over rule of Asgard with a firm grip. His announcement of marriage to Arnlaug raised many eyebrows, for she remained as infamous in Asgard as he was beloved, but after drinking with their king and seeing his passion for the goddess, most came to terms with the arrangement, and those who didn't soon learned to keep their grumblings private.
When his queen vanished he mourned her deeply, but his old friend Akrskald consoled him and in time he moved on with his life, finding comfort and love amongst his people.

He travelled often between Valaskjalf and his new hall in New Valhalla, ensuring that all is well in Asgard whilst keeping in touch with his Valkyries and the slowly growing host of the Valorous Dead.

The bane of Jaeger's rule was a beast that lived out in wilderness around Asgard, raiding the city's flocks and driving the city's guards to distraction with its shrieking cries and hideous song. The King often lead bands out to hunt the creature but always returned in failure. Embarrased by this, his one failure Jaeger became somewhat obsessed. In time it became something of a joke, and the beast became known as Jaeger's Jabberwocky. He never learned that the creature was purely fictional, a creation of the trickster Osk, to punish him for his part in Raffle's death.

Under Jaeger's govenance Asgard was nursed back to its former glory, and ties to the other realms were strengthened. As the days of war retreated he had little cause to draw Mjolnir from his belt, but whenever the realms or his friends lay in danger, he was always ready to take up his shield once more and show the enemy their mistake in drawing the ire of Asgard's mighty king.

Screams of panic split air,
the fell drake lets out bloodlust's cry.
Warriors rise uttering couragous calls,
they fall beneath fang and claw,
bold spirits headed to final feasting.

Then comes the hammer-heir,
Stout of arm and sure in thought,
Calls out his wrath against Asgard's foe.
Charging fearless the spear-fangs,
Strikes once and again the crown chewing serpent,
Casts down the wyrm and sunders scale.
