Standing at a moderately tall 5’ 7”, Theresa, called “Resa” for short, is of average build and not particularly remarkable in appearance. She has long hair which she ties back in a ponytail at all times. She has strikingly silver blue eyes that are often obscured by round glasses. She does not often wear Jewellery and has if anything a particularly unassuming aura. She dresses most often in business casual attire and occasionally a medical coat. Anyone who knows her, knows that she is a highly intelligent medical professional and occasional researcher. She has however recently been moved to the exploratory division of UNITED. Some may recognize her last name Mathews, as her parents are founders of biomedical corporation of Eye Tech industries which works closely with UNITED.
Dr. Theresa Mathews worked closely with Dr. Cavenson of UNITED, for a few months after the events of Ragnarok, but she never divulged the information regarding her exact work to anyone (save perhaps her husband, Andr) quoting Doctor-Patient Confidentiality to those who would ask. Shortly after this, Theresa tendered her official and final resignation from UNITED, before leaving on her honeymoon. Leaving on Storrbatr with her husband, they traveled through every one of the Thirteen Realms learning new stories and spreading what wisdom they could to the people they met.
Sooner or later, Theresa and Andr settled down in Tyr's Holt, in a house specifically built for the pair by the city's founder, Ølrik. Theresa then split her time working in Tyr's Holt Teaching Hospital, as a lecturer at Virdar University, raising her children, and on a secret project that would only be completed much later in her life.
In the hospital, and at the University, Theresa was renowned as a very intuitive and hands-on teacher and help nurse the careers of those who would one day take her place. During her time at the University, she was often seen in the company of her brother, Andrew Mathews, a lecturer in the prestigious Applied Political Science course; she spent an extended period in Vanaheim to comfort her brother on his deathbed. It is clear that the two shared a close friendship for the rest of Andrew's life.
If one were to ask Theresa what she is most proud of, she would either answer about her children or her work with the waters of Glaesisvellir. Of her children: Tyr, Heidrun, Leif, Alvis, and Vali, only Heidrun followed in he parents' footsteps, but the others all graduated from Virdar University before moving onto lives of their own. Over the many years she had of her new immortality, Theresa was able to 'tame' the fungus that infected Glaesisvellir and turn it to a more benevolent purpose: of simply healing those it comes in contact with. Many considered this her life's work.
