Said to be the daughter of Loki, Eydís has over the years remained unswervingly loyal to the Chiefs and Asgard. Generally jovial, her love of fire tends to put her in the company of the more martial Aesir, despite not having the physical strength of such gods as Thor and Heimdall.

Dísheim prospered. Eydís was reborn many times, including as a tree with flaming fruit, but at last she became something with the power of flight. And then there was nothing left to wish for.
