Æthelfled - Eleanor S

Æthelfled is a goddess of lost and unwanted things, with a large house filled with possessions that have been forgotton or thrown away. This has its disadvantages – the dwarfs in particular, are not fond of people who appropriate even their lowliest items – but has earned the gratitude of various Aesir for finding their precious things, and has been entrusted with items people want kept safe. In particular, Æthelfled found a sword that Frey has entrusted to a mortal hero, who had then died and carelessly mislaid the precious weapon. Her feast hall is great, and noted for the good cheer and hospitality found within – if one doesn’t mind the overflowing shelves and boxes at every wall.

The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the World Tree, by Thorin Evenstar

Of course, no visit to Asgard would be complete without a shopping trip to the central brewery of the Asgardian Alcohol Assiciation. Created by Aethelfled in 2053, the Association has diligently gathered brewing techniques and ingredients from all over the World Tree and the Mountain, as well as discovering several for themselves. The results are fantastic, a wide range of quality brews to delight even the fussiest drinker, and knock even the most determined carousing god under the table. For those with a bit of spare case, the two-week long tasting experience is highly recommended, though you are advised to keep a diary so that you can remember what you drank, where you're staying, and your own name by the end of it.

The Governance of the Realms, A Study, by Gwen Rayne

Last, but not least, the position of Mistress of Coin in Asgard is held by Aethelfled. Rumour has it that she convinced King Jaeger to induct her into the position after proving that she could manage the Asgardian Alcohol Association, and asking him weekly until he relented. Under her careful stewardship, the Asgardian treasury has blossomed, and she has ensured that the economy stays strong even in this age of cheap, high quality goods from Danforth and Midgard. The chief exports of Asgard are of course the brews of the AAA, especially those made from the Apples of Immortality, which allow first-lifers to keep a youthful complexion for their entire natural life, though they do not extend it unless there is strong divine ancestry. Aethelfled studied economics at the universities of both Oxford and New Vanaheim, obtaining a first class degree at each.
