Osk - Ellie W

The records show that Osk was a lesser known goddess of Travel. Often referred to as a 'Goddess of the Narrow Paths' the stories surrounding her usually involve pious travelers being saved by her influence and unwary ones falling prey to the dangers of the road without her guidance. What she will make of this new world where everyone travels and the world if full of new paths is anybody's guess.

Eternity

Loki.

A name with a thousand connotations. A god of trickery, of fire, of deception. A god who appeared in many cultures in one form or another, featuring in children’s stories and grand operas. Who inspired sympathy for his treatment, sick amusement for his acts, and horror for the consequences. The most notorious of all the Asgardians. Until now.

Elessar awakens in the night to find his country on the verge of civil war and Astrid blaming him. It takes weeks for everything to be put right and even then there is cold distrust in dark elven eyes when he walks through the streets. He knows he did not write the letters they found. He just can’t work out who did.

Sannast’s new eye goes missing and another has to be crafted. She stumbles around cursing her lack of depth perception and ends up collapsing in a bar, unsure how the lemonade she ordered was able to have such an effect on her. Normally she can taste the burn when someone spikes her drink. It’s made worse by the embarrassing pictures which are circulated and it takes months before criminals will treat her seriously again. Someone with a really nasty streak did that.

Jaeger’s failures to hunt the Jabberwocky. Harald’s horror as the floods poured through the defences in Jotunheim and his terror when his baby daughter was kidnapped and found later with one finger missing. Veigr awoke one day to find a dragon had once more moved into Svartalfheim and killed seven of his best friends and greatest crafters. And every time someone cries in the night, every time someone curses and then stifles their horror for fear of who might be listening, every time the curtains are drawn and the doors barred before someone tells a story, her power grows. Loki’s legend is dwarfed by hers. She is the shadow under the bed, the unexpected footstep outside the window. When they pull the covers over their heads it is her cackling they hear in their dreams.

Evil has a new name.
