Tanngnidr is a golem maker of repute amonst the Jotun. Among the other races she is mostly unknown.

Mostly, if someone is asked to think of the Jotnar, these days the first face to jump to mind is that of Tanngnidr. Following Jean Baptiste Demotte's nuclear attacks she was the cornerstone of Jotunn integration with the rest of the World Tree and World Mountain. Although the settlements she established in Asgard, Midgard, Disheim and Tyr's Holt were initially planned to host those Jotnar who still wished not to interact with those of other races, through slow interaction planned by Tanngnidr, this isolationist streak began to die out.
Aside from her work on the integration of the Jotnar, Tanngnidr focused her efforts on a variety of projects scattered across the Thirteen Realms; most notably the radioactive clean up of those areas badly hurt by Demotte's attacks, and the stabilisation of Glaesisvellir. With the help of Tanngnidr and others, what may have taken hundreds of years to deal with took merely decades.
Following the death of her mentor, Bergfinnr, Tanngnidr was unanimously accepted as the new leader of the Council of Jotnar. This council, acting out of Disheim, acted as a guiding body for the many disparate Jotunn settlements throughout the new worlds. Although it has no direct power, it is almost uniformly accepted as a fair and just judge: especially under the oversight of Tanngnidr.
Currently Tanngnidr works on the task of returning some Jotnar to their ancestral home of Jotunheim: Yrkjaberg, and Utgard.
